Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will work with the Head of Business on business pipeline and revenue outlook.

The successful candidate will have outstanding presentation and highly effective negotiation skills along with a proven ability to creatively represent and sell DWA’s services and market position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Development for DWA India
  • Represent DWA media credentials, capabilities and offerings to prospective clients
  • Actively look for RFP invites from prospective companies and get participation for DWA
  • Regularly participate in industry and media events to generate contacts
  • Build relationships with publishers and partners to identify opportunities
  • Remain updated about upcoming opportunities in the market through industry news and network
  • Lead the client relationship and discussion in client pitches
  • Liaise closely with DWA offices in APAC to leverage knowledge about network accounts

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Director on business pipeline and revenue outlook
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports on business development
  • Build custom presentations for introductory meetings of potential prospects
  • Ideate newer approaches for door openers
  • Input all new business contacts, opportunity details and lead status' in Salesforce

Skills:

  • Well equipped with knowledge of technology industry, solutions and products
  • Good network with marketing decision makers and influencers in technology industry
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent business acumen and strong written and oral communication skills are required
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to persuade and influence decision makers and executives is required
  • Proved track record in full-cycle sales process (from prospecting to closure)
  • Entrepreneurial mentality
  • Ambitious, highly motivated and self-starter
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude
  • Understanding of advertising, media and digital platforms will be an added advantage

Work Experience:

Between 6 to 8 years of Business Development experience in marketing and sales function in any of the following:

  • Advertising agency - mainline (ATL) advertising agency
  • Media agency
  • Publication house - tech publication preferred
  • Digital agency

The candidate should have lead business development for his/her firm and have proven record of performance.
