We are proud to announce the appointment of Brandon Friesen to the role of President, North America.
Brandon joins DWA from the leading tech Influencer marketing company NetShelter, where he led the Western region to the highest growth in the country. Prior to NetShelter Brandon was VP Group Publisher at UBM TechWeb (formerly CMP) where he spent over 10 years. During that time Brandon had a number of senior positions, in both editorial and sales functions, rising ultimately to head such prestigious brands as InformationWeek, Network Computing, Dark Reading and Dr. Dobb's.
"Our growth in North America has been tremendous and I am delighted to welcome Brandon to DWA to help carry that momentum forward," commented Founder and Group CEO David Wood. "I’ve known Brandon and worked with him as a business partner for over a decade. His knowledge of and passion for Technology and the Media world surrounding technology is first rate."
"I couldn't be more excited to join the talented North America and Global team at DWA," said Brandon. "As far as global media and the tech sector, DWA is as good as it gets. David and I have significant growth plans for the North America operations and it was that ambition, coupled with the International scale, that so attracted me to the role. DWA is one of only a few agencies that really 'get' the highly considered purchase category of technology on a global scale. I'm thrilled to work tech specialist DWA and their continually expanding list of clients."
DWA first opened its North American-based operations in San Francisco several years ago and quickly increased its client roster. DWA also added a Boston office eleven months ago and now looks to expand the US presence even further. Plans include an Austin, Texas office, where the focus will be on Clean Technology. Friesen will be based in the San Francisco office. |
