The DWA Boston office, barely five months into operations, already has a roster of blue-chip tech clients on the books and looks to build on this momentum in the coming months as they expand East Coast operations. Recent wins and key highlights include:
Akamai
The Cambridge Mass-based software developer has hired DWA on retainer to manage quarterly planning and execution for programs on a turnkey basis. With a very well-known brand name, Akamai is looking to reinforce awareness of the wide range of products and solutions for content providers and media companies.
DWA’s remit is therefore wide enough to cover long and short term programs, developing a menu of content-in-a-box that can be implemented at short notice or over the long term for any target group: enterprise, high tech and e-commerce providers, for example.
The current campaigns are largely demand-gen, integrated lead programs in all areas.
Hitachi Data Systems
DWA has been appointed by Santa Clara-based Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) to run global media programs on a project basis for the range of storage products and solutions. The appointment comes amid a drive to maximize HDS media and marketing spend, and create efficiencies in strategy and execution between corporate and field marketing organisations. One immediate action is the integration of demand generation programs with other corporate marketing initiatives and search spending.
The client team, led by Boston-based Director of Client Services Isabelle Kane, has then developed plans across on and offline media formats to deploy this content. The highest profile of these to date has been the Marvel Comic Book promotion which takes a Fantastic Four adventure, presents HDS as a title sponsor, and then delivers 12 pages of e-comic action with co-sponsors such as Microsoft and Brocade.
Rosetta Stone B2B
On retainer, DWA is working with Virginia-based Rosetta Stone, the world’s pre-eminent language software developer on awareness and lead generation programs across the US, targeting education, corporate clients and government. Rosetta Stone combines well-known software programs plus live practice sessions with tutors, engaging language games, and conversing with native speakers in a new language.
DWA’s work has been built on a comprehensive assessment of market opportunity and recommendations to focus on strategic areas and determine which target segments would yield greatest revenue and growth potential.
