DWA, the world’s largest media agency specializing in the technology sector, has opened doors in the San Francisco Bay Area. DWA Inc. can be found in Palo Alto, the central economic focal point of Silicon Valley, and home to tech giants such as Hewlett-Packard, SAP and Facebook.
Englishman Stuart Giddings will be presiding over the new operation, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his time at DWA’s London headquarters and 20 years in the media industry. His broad-ranging client experience with DWA includes award-winning work on accounts such as Konica Minolta, Apple, EMC, ESET, Logitech, NEC, Citrix, AMD and Juniper Networks.
Giddings is delighted to announce the key appointment of two experienced technology media professionals, signaling DWA Inc.’s intention to be a serious long-term player in this region.
Sherry Bennett joins DWA as Media Director. Bennett was most recently a partner at JWT in San Francisco. Her knowledge of the tech media market in the US is second-to-none and she has worked for many leading technology clients including Symantec, PGP, RSA, HP, Borland, Palm, BEA Systems and Maxtor.
Catheline Leung joins DWA from ZenithOptimedia, as a media planner/buyer. In her previous role she worked on the HP account for consumer and business campaigns, most notably for the Touchsmart PC range. She brings to DWA her broad experience of planning and buying for technology audiences in the US, across a wide range of media.
In addition to its London headquarters, DWA has a long-established operation in Sydney, Australia, and recently set up shop in Singapore. This international presence in each key time zone allows DWA to meet the growing demand of its technology clients to service their accounts on a global level.
