DWA bucks global downturn with new Singapore office

David Wood, Group Managing Director of DWA, is proud and excited to announce the opening of DWA Singapore. DWA is the leading specialist media planning and buying agency focused exclusively on the international IT sector.

DWA works with over 150 of the world’s most renowned and respected vendors of IT solutions. Adding to our offices in London, Sydney and San Francisco, the launch of our Singapore office will further enhance and support the increasingly global nature of our clients’ marketing efforts.

Located in the Historic Conservation area of Duxton Hill, DWA opens with a full media and account management team, all highly experienced in both media and technology.

Jessica Toh, formerly Head of Consumer Sales for CNET Networks APAC, will lead the B2C team, and Deborah Cordeiro, formerly of IDG and Account Director at CNBC APAC, will head up the B2B team.

Group MD David Wood also takes great pleasure in basing himself in Singapore over the coming months, to ensure that DWA Singapore will deliver the quality of service, support, knowledge and drive that has been the cornerstone of the agency since its launch in London 12 years ago. He comments:

“Singapore is clearly the regional hub of choice for so many of the leading global technology vendors. Since arriving in here some months ago, I have often been asked, why, during this current time of economic uncertainty, are we investing in additional resources and infrastructure, at a time when most media agencies are retrenching?

The answer is simple: DWA is passionate about media, passionate about IT and passionate about helping our clients maximise their media investments for the global technology sector.

DWA Singapore will be the only media agency in the region that works exclusively in the technology sector. Globally, DWA spends more money on media campaigns for IT vendors than any other independent media agency, anywhere. We look forward to extending the benefits of that massive global buying power to our new partners in Singapore.

With the ever-increasing pressure to deliver return on their media investment (often with fewer dollars than before), technology companies in Singapore and the APAC region should know that DWA can and will provide the tactical advice, execution and delivery they need to make their marketing spend work.

And with further expansion plans that include India and China, DWA is perfectly positioned to support its growing client base, in markets where they themselves predict the biggest areas of growth.”
